• Hiya folks,

I wonder how this plug-in actually is supposed to work? I realize that it won’t alter robots.txt, or .htaccess, and that it should add meta tags to the header of your pages. But how does it do that? Does robots-meta change any files in my theme, or does it add that info in real time each time a page is loaded? If so, when the plug-in is deleted, will everything go back to the way it was? I never even got it working (my <meta name=”robots” /> still just read “index, follow”), and I wonder if it has changed anything. I would appreciate if anyone could sort this out for me 🙂 Thanks!

  • Quite honestly, I don’t think it does. There are several unanswered posts regarding bugs. I have 3, for example.

I’ve deactivated the plugin until further notice from the author. But I don’t see myself activating the plugin any time soon.

Yes, it seems as if more people are experiencing these kind of issues.

What I really would like to know is if it has changed anything in my theme or files. If so, I want to restore everything back to the way it was before I installed and activated the plug-in.

I had this same issue and read somewhere to load a older version of the plug-in. From there you can update to the newer version. It works find when taking that approach.
