# [Plugin request] Minimalist carousel for galleries

 * Hi !
 * I’m a photographer and I’m not quite satisfied by the gallery plugins I have 
   found here and there.
 * I need something simple that will allow the visitor to scroll into pictures series
   without distraction. The _Format_ plateform offers exactly what I’m looking for:

 * What I want is :
    - a responsive height carousel with an horizontal navigation,
    - no fancy transitions or effects, no overlay/lightbox/container, no auto play
      etc.
    - no cropping (the image ratio may be different from one to another, it should
      keep the same height and adjust the width but not change the framing),
    - something that will use preferably only regular jQuery built into WP (no huge
      load of JS to slow down the website) and good CSS3/HTML5 mobile-compliant,
    - a smooth integration into WP native gallery window (no custom post or dedicated
      gallery management).
 * The issue I have with the plugins I have found is they are designed to be cool
   and to illustrate the content, not to **be** the content so they are full of 
   distracting unneeded effects. Or they set the width instead of the height, which
   is ugly when you mix several image ratios.
