Support » Plugin: Remove Dashboard Access » [Plugin: Remove Dashboard Access for Non-Admins] Can't edit profile

  • I thought Remove Dashboard Access was going to solve a major problem for me, but alas, a new problem. I need to let my members blog and edit their profiles, but I don’t want them in the Dashboard. I used Quick Post Widget and that gave me the front end posting. But they could still access the Dashboard. I added your plugin and now they can not access their profile page (/wp-admin/profile.php). Any thoughts???

This plugin basically blocks all non-admin access to the Dashboard, which is where the profile editing menu lives.

If you don’t want your users to have access to the Dashboard, I’d suggest also looking at something like the Profile Builder plugin, which allows you to provide a front-facing profile editor for logged-in users that lives outside the Dashboard. Hope that helps.
