• Hello,

My installation of relevanssi is logging searches and displaying them, but only for users who are logged in. Is there any way to log ALL searches?

Also, the searches that are being logged are mine (admin) even though I have excluded my user ID. My site doesn’t use user-registration.

I am happy to edit some code if I need to and someone can help me with which code to edit!!!

    Anyone out there?

I am sure someone else is having this issue.
Is there any way to log searches for users who are not logged in?

I’ve just checked the blog I’m developing in my local machine. What I see is that my logged in searches aren’t logged (I added “admin” to the exclusion list). On the other hand, none of the searches I made in Chrome’s incognito windows (hence logged out) where recorded.

Have you entered a NUMERIC user ID? Because that’s what Relevanssi expects to see there.

Relevanssi should log all queries, no matter whether the user is logged in or not.

Ah! Nice! Thanks! It wasn’t clear from the description I read (the pt_BR translation) that the field should have user IDs. The translator said something like “A comma-separated list of users that will not have their searches logged”, while (now I see) the original is more precise and does indeed mention IDs: “Comma-separated list of user ids that will not be logged.” I changed the field from “admin” to “1” and it’s now working perfectly!

But this shows there’s a small bug in the parsing of that field. If the user mistakenly enters an user name rather than an user ID, instead of ignoring the entry Relevanssi stops logging searches.

    Good point. I’ll fix that.
