I am getting no highlighting on search results.

    * “Create custom search result snippets” is checked
    * “Highlight query terms in result titles too” is also checked
    * I’ve tried all the different highlighting options: strong, background-color, CSS class, etc
    * and I’ve rebuilt the index since changing the options.

Also, the_excerpt() is used, and correctly displayed, from my search.php file in the template.

I really can’t think of what could be causing the problem. Any ideas?

I’m guessing you’ve got a call to query_posts() on your search results template, thus making Relevanssi inactive.

    You are RIGHT!

Thanks for responding. I didn’t realize that would kill Relevanssi.

When I swapped out my complicated search.php with a stock search.php, it worked just fine, thanks!

    Great, I marked this resolved.

This is something I should probably add to the readme file.
