[Plugin: Register Plus] Confirm registration not clickable in email received by user

  • When the customer does get an email from the registration confirmation the link that is provided is not clickable. They have to copy and paste link in the browser and I am having to validate a lot of accounts. Any ideas or recommendations?

    @conservativus

    I struggle with the same.
    What do I have to do, to get the automatic email send to the user, with a link of %siteurl% he can click instead of copy and paste to the browser ?

    thanks

    I’m having this same issue… anyone find a resolution to this?

    Works okay for me.

    What email program? What browser? What OS?

    Me too.

    Outlook2003, FireFox3.05, WinXP Pro

    Ted

    OK, more investigation, problem solved.

    In the notification email insert the code:
    <a href="%siteurl%">whatever you want to put here</a>

    When the email is received the link will be clickable.

    I used Ted’s workaround and it added a bunch of slashes to the code, so it still wasn’t working. I took out the quotes aroung %siteurl% and it worked…

    < a href=%siteurl% > whatever you want to put here < /a >

    though I know this is not good HTML

    <a href=%siteurl%>whatever you want to put here</a>
