Support » Plugin: Regenerate Thumbnails » [Plugin: Regenerate Thumbnails] Temporary project fork

  • Hi !

I added some feature to Regenerate Thumbnails in a fork hosted on Github :

This fork introduces new features :

    • Informations and logs in order to read the process performance
    • Ajax Error handling, in order to continue on error
    • Comma-separated Media Ids custom regeneration
    • Custom column in WordPress Media Library for “one-click” (actualy, two clicks) regeneration
    • Actualized jQuery UI JS and CSS for a better look
    • When the process is finished, proposes to relaunch on errors
    • A new button makes the application stop once started

Viper, would you like to merge these evolution in a future version of Regenerate Thumbnails ?

Sounds great! I am more than happy to accept patches for any of my plugins. I’ll try and take a look at your changes this weekend. 🙂

Check out v2.1.0 of my plugin. I didn’t make use of any of your PHP, but your jQuery improvements were incredibly helpful and I drew a lot of inspiration from your fork.

And here’s the changelog if interested:

    = Version 2.1.0 =

    Lots of new features!

    * Thanks to a lot of jQuery help from [Boris Schapira](, a failed image regeneration will no longer stop the whole process.
    * The results of each image regeneration is now outputted. You can easily see which images were successfully regenerated and which failed. Was inspired by a concept by Boris.
    * There is now a button on the regeneration page that will allow you to abort resizing images for any reason. Based on code by Boris.
    * You can now regenerate single images from the Media page. The link to do so will show up in the actions list when you hover over the row.
    * You can now bulk regenerate multiple from the Media page. Check the boxes and then select “Regenerate Thumbnails” form the “Bulk Actions” dropdown. WordPress 3.1+ only.
    * The total time that the regeneration process took is now displayed in the final status message.
    * jQuery UI Progressbar version upgraded.

That’s good ! I’m really glad I could help you.
