I’m not sure if its Redirection or the translation plugin Transposh but I recently updated both plugins and now ALL the French translated pages got moved to different pages, see the following post, the developer was kind enough to look into this issue as I’m typing this post.

    Before the update:
domain.com/Post_x (English) is located on page 4
domain.com/Post_x/?lang=fr (French translation) is located on page 4

    After the update:
domain.com/Post_x (English) is located on page 4
domain.com/Post_x/?lang=fr (French translation) is now pushed to page 25 or some random non-existing page causing a 404 error.

Oddly enough, looking at the stats of the site, only Bing.com is bringing the traffic based on the translated pages while Google.ca is pointing to those random pages of the translated posts.

Webmaster tools shows the pages as crawled and indexed from the longest time including the ones ending with /?lang=fr

Any ideas if this could be related to changes in Redirection? Were the translated pages dropped because they were not native url’s?

Furthermore, I just tried another test by redirecting a translated French page on the site such as domain.com/page/20/?lang=fr (non-existing page but for some reason Google sees it when searching for previously indexed keywords) to the following: domain.com/?lang=fr and it just won’t kick in, the redirect is not taking effect, so far, Redirection and Transposh don’t seem to be communicating or play nicely together since the latest updates.

Seriously wondering if anyone out there is using both of those plugins and getting the same issues?
