There are times when I feel so dumb, and this is one of them. How can I edit a redirect? Or, if I can’t edit them once I’ve created them, how can I quickly see where I set the redirect to go to without having to click on it?

On the redirects list page, I have the redirects listed, but I can’t see any way of editing them or visually inspecting them. Clicking on the name of the redirect (e.g. /oldpath/) sends me to that directory, which becomes /newpath/. But I have to click the link and follow the redirect to find out where it was going, and if it turns out that I actually needed it to go to /newpath2/ instead, it looks like I’m going to have to delete it and re-add it from scratch. Is this the case, or have I missed something obvious?

Well, now I feel even stupider than I did before. Hovering over the name of the redirect shows the old path in the status bar, exactly as you’d expect from hovering over a normal link, but today, actually clicking on the link opens a little dialogue with all the editable details in. I guess yesterday I must have had some kind of javascript error, so that when I clicked the link the script didn’t open the details and just went to the old link instead.

    Case closed.
