    Hello,

The plugin is recording all abandoned carts but not sending any mail. The mail system is working fine. Sending out all WooCommerce Transactional mails but not for abandoned carts.

What do I need to check ? What can possibly be wrong?

    Thanks,

    Gaurab

    Hi @gaurab74,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please check whether the captured orders have the order status as “Abandoned” or “Normal”? The abandoned cart emails will only be scheduled for orders marked as Abandoned.

If the order status is indeed Abandoned, you can click on the captured order and check inside to see if the emails are scheduled there. This will help confirm whether the emails are being triggered correctly.

    Hi Aamir,

There is no abandoned option under order status, never was. But the Cart abandoned page has capured abandoned cart data. They are abandoned, so how can they show as orders under Woocommerce orders? I am not an expert so asking, is abandoned a default Woocommerce order status?

    Thanks,

    Gaurab

    Hi @gaurab74,

Thanks for your message — I can see where the confusion is coming from, so let me clarify further how this works.

Here’s how the process works step by step:

    • When a user starts filling in the checkout form, the order data is immediately captured and shown in the Cart Abandonment Recovery reports. At this stage, the status is Normal, not abandoned yet.
    • After the cutoff time you’ve configured, if the user does not complete the order, a CRON job runs and marks that entry as Abandoned.
    • Once the status changes to Abandoned, the follow-up emails are scheduled and then sent accordingly.

If the CRON job is not working properly, the data will still be captured and visible in the Cart Abandonment reports, but it will never be marked as Abandoned. As a result, the follow-up emails won’t be scheduled or sent.

To help us move forward, could you please share a screenshot of the captured entries from the Cart Abandonment Recovery page showing their current status? That will help confirm whether the entries are remaining in the “Normal” state.

    Looking forward to your update.

    Hi Aamir,

sorry for the delayed reply. Here is the screenshot from the requested page. https://snipboard.io/gdY3ME.jpg

I run a custom cron script from the server. If a cron job is scheduled then it will surely execute by the custom script. All cron jobs are successfully executed every 15 minutes.

But cart abondoment mails are not going. Please help figure out what is the problem?

    Hi Aamir,

I can see that the plugin saves the email address. Does it also store the phone number? if yes, then where?

    Thanks,

    Gaurab

    Hi @gaurab74,

Great to hear that the plugin is saving the data for you!

Regarding the phone number, all the data that a user enters on the checkout fields — including the phone number — is recorded and saved inside the corresponding abandoned order entry. You can simply click on the abandoned order to view all the captured information.

    Hi Aamir,

The orginal question remained unanswered. Why is the plugin not sending emails as configured and scheduled?

    Thanks,

    Hi  @gaurab74,

    Thank you for following up.

From the screenshot you shared earlier, it looks like the abandoned orders are being captured correctly — which means tracking is working as expected.

Could you please click into one of those abandoned order entries and check whether the recovery emails are listed as scheduled inside the order details?

    • If the emails are scheduled but not sent, then this is most likely related to email delivery.

You can follow this guide to resolve this issue:
    https://cartflows.com/docs/recovery-emails-not-sending/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Aamir,

The details page is as in the screenshot. It is X not scheduled.

    Hi @gaurab74,

    Thanks for sharing the screenshot.

Could you please try switching to the new UI and see if it solves the issue? Just in case this is happening only with the old UI.

You can go to Settings > Use New Interface

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 😊
