# Plugin Recommendation Needed

 * Hello,
 * I have a new installation of WordPress and BuddyPress. I’d like to give my logged-
   in members the option to subscribe to certain categories on my WordPress site,
   so they receive an alert and email any time a new post is added (in the subscribed
   categories).
 * If possible, I’d like to also allow logged-in members to subscribe to specific
   authors.
 * From what I can tell, this is not possible in WordPress, aside from using a RSS
   feed to trigger email through a third-party service.
 * Can anyone recommend a method or plug-in for accomplishing this? I greatly appreciate
   any information you can offer. 🙂
