# [Plugin: Recent Posts with Excerpts] specify excerpt length?

 * Does anyone know if you can specify the length of the excerpt displayed using
   this plugin? By number of lines or word count, for instance? I’m displaying one
   post title and one excerpt in a DIV with a fixed height, so I need the excerpt
   to end and the “read more” link to appear after a specific length. Any help is
   much appreciated.

 * Yes, that plugin worked like a charm when paired with a separate plugin called‘
   the_excerpt Reloaded’ (find it [here](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-excerpt-re-reloaded/)).
   That combination allows you to specify the number of posts to show, the number
   of excerpts to show, what the ‘read more’ link should read, number of words to
   limit excerpt to, and more.
