[Plugin: Recent Posts with Excerpts] More text….

  • There’s an option to update the ‘More’ text but it prints ‘Continue reading –>’ anyway. That can’t be right 😛

    If that was fixed & and an excerpt length cap was added this would be a 5 star plug-in.

    Does “Continue Reading” appear in the sidebar, or at the end of the excerpt in the main body of the page? If it’s in the sidebar, then it has something to do with the plugin. If not, it’s generated by the theme. For example, in the Twenty Ten loop.php file, you’ll see this line:
    <?php the_content( __( 'Continue reading <span class="meta-nav">&rarr;</span>', 'twentyten' ) ); ?>

    That’s what makes it say “Continue Reading.” You can change it directly by editing that file, or by creating a child theme for Twenty Ten.
