[Resolved] [Plugin: Really simple Facebook Twitter share buttons] wrong picture by sharing article on facebook

  • Hello 🙂

thank you for the great plugin! It works very good. I have just one unclarity
If you click Facebook you can post the article but with a wrong picture. I don’t understand why.

    Here the background information:
I have another Plugin for Social Media, where the users can follow us on facebook, twitter and xing. The corresponding icon for xing is embedded with an URL.

If you want to “like” an article, the plugin “Really simple Facebook Twitter share buttons” searches a picture on the homepage. It always takes the xing-icon. So I can post an article on Facebook with a xing-icon.

    How can I change this?

    Best regards
    Stefanie

    Hi Stefanie,
you can get the best from FB buttons following the Open Graph directives issued by the Facebook team. Basically you can force in each page the right image to share, using the Open Graph Tag “og:image”. Several plugins, e.g. “WordPress SEO by Yoast”, provide this functionality.
