[resolved] [Plugin: Really simple Facebook Twitter share buttons] Multiple Instances of button in template (7 posts)

    Hi guys, your plugin has been installed on one of my websites and configured to only display on single.php. However, the share buttons not only appear at the end of the post, but also anywhere in the template where I have used:

    $include = get_pages('include=28');
    $content = apply_filters('the_content',$include[0]->post_content);
    echo $content;

    or a hardcoded shortcode for another plugin e.g:

    <?php echo do_shortcode ('[testimonial]'); ?>

    Just wondering if anyone else has had this occur and what the solution might be?

    Here is where it is occurring - http://www.kristahauritz.com.au/author/kristahauritz/

    Hi Kylie,
    you can try to uncheck the "Disable buttons on excerpts" advanced option.

    Hi whiletrue, thanks heaps for the quick response.

    Unfortunately have tried unchecking and checking "Disable buttons on excerpts" :(

    Any other suggestions of what I can try?

    Hi Kylie,
    you can also try to uncheck all the "Show buttons in these pages" options in the Settings->Really simple share menu, except for "Single posts". This way all the share buttons should disappear, except the one displayed beside the post in every Single post page.

    Hi whiletrue,

    this fixes the archives page, but then reoccurs on a single post page - http://www.kristahauritz.com.au/events-qld-conference-website/

    Here is a screen shot of the settings - http://www.kristahauritz.com.au/wp-content/media/screenshot.png

    Just going to switch the settings back to the Author Archives because the website is live.

    Refer to this page if you need to see the problem occurring - http://www.kristahauritz.com.au/author/kristahauritz/

    Thanks heaps for your help, greatly appreciated.

    Ok, as a last thought you can try, in your environment, to empty the "Show buttons in these pages" option and call the function:
    <?php echo really_simple_share_publish(); ?>
    inside the template loop, where you want to show them ... this way every mess with "apply_filters" and shortcodes should be avoided. For more info read the plugin FAQ.
