[Plugin: Really Simple CAPTCHA] Don't know how to install Really Simple Captcha (10 posts)

    Hello,

I recently updated my Contact Form 7, only to discover that it now requires a separate installation of the Really Simple Captcha Plug-in. I am having the same trouble now, as the other user because I cannot figure out which PHP files need to be edited, following the Really Simple Captcha WP page instructions. They were not clear, at all.

    Can anyone help?

Same here. The instructions for getting this thing to work are anything but simple. I don't have a clue what the author is talking about in his instructions. At this point it is useless to me.

You don't need to edit any PHP files. Just install and activate it. The instruction of installation is here.

Other instructions on readme.txt are basically written for plugin developers.

I installed it, but I don't see it in my installed plugins list. WP 2.7.1. Anyone else having this problem?

This plugin does not seem to install correctly when using the automatic installer in 2.7. To actually see it listed in my plugins page, I had to manually download it, then upload just the simpleCAPTCHA folder to my plugins directory.
Still, I get "To use CAPTCHA, you need Really Simple CAPTCHA plugin installed."
message when I view the page, so somethings wrong. Hopefully this gets fixed because I really like contact form 7 but I need captcha.

I have installed this plug in in my blog, WP 2.7.1 and success.

NOTE: before use this plug in, I HAVE INSTALLED "Contact Form 7" Plug in.
Better if you familiar with "Contact Form 7" plug in.

    1. Upload this plug in at your /wp-content/plugins/
    2. Install from your wp-admin area
    3. Open your admin area of "Contact Form 7" plug in, because "Really Simple CAPTCHA" is INTEGRATED with "Contact Form 7".
    4. At your form of "Contact Form 7" plug in, add new Tag of CAPTCHA to it.
    5. See to below of the form of Really Simple CAPTCHA. U will get two codes that you must copy to your "Contact Form 7" form. And Save it.
    6. After that, copy your code from "Contact Form 7" plug in to your page or post. Publish. And you will have a nice form with Captcha.

    Hope it's useful

    in contact form 7,
i used spam question instead of captcha.
like perform arithmetics or ask logical questions.

@iniblogbudi Thanks, I feel like a putz now, that seems so obvious now.

For some reason from the Plugins Installation notes I thought it was going to automatically add CAPTCHA to forms the way other WP plugins do.

I'd suggest the creator add that reminder to go into your Form and adding the CAPTCHA code, heh.

    Excellent!

    @nazcar

Can you show us how to use "custom questions" in contact 7 form. I would like to use that instead of captcha

    Thanks
    Mike
