• Hi Everyone, I installed the contact-7 plugin and it worked perfectly. Looks great. I’m having difficulty getting really simple captcha to work. I confirmed both of the required libraries were installed on the server my site resides on, and installed the plugin with no problem. I simply tried to use the example of the code provided on the plugin website to test if it works and I cannot get it to show up.

I’m new to wordpress, so perhaps I’m doing something incorrectly? I copied and pasted this:

    Input this code: [captchac captcha-170]
    [captchar captcha-170 4/4]

Into the page “Contact”. So this is what I have for my “Contact” page:

    [contact-form 1 "Contact form 1"]

    Input this code: [captchac captcha-170]
    [captchar captcha-170 4/4]

The contact form shows up great, but all I see on the contact page is the contact form and the code I pasted. Any help would be appreciated. I also checked permissions on my upload folder. I had it at 744, and even at 777 and it will not work. I know I must be implementing this incorrectly.

OK I found the problem..I was placing the code in the wrong area. I have it pasted into the “Contact-7” form and it is working. I am concerned about giving the upload folder 777 rights. Is there a more secure or at least safer permission or method to implement for this folder?
