Support » Plugin: Raptor Editor » [Plugin: Raptor Editor] White text on white background in backend editor

  • Resolved Alain Schlesser

    I am testing version 1.0.17. The frontend editor works just fine, but the backend editor displays white text on a white background.

    I could trace this back to the standard wordpress file wp-includes/css/editor.css which contains the following line:

    .js .tmce-active .wp-editor-area { color: white }

    So, as the default wordpress file sets the text color to white, raptor should include a css override.

    Hi Alain,

    Thanks for letting me know about this issue!

    I’ve got 1.0.17 installed on my site, and I’m not seeing the same issue, but as I don’t think your suggestion will hurt, I will add it to the next release.

    Update should be available within the next 15 minutes.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for the fast response! Your css fix is now active in my editor, however you changed the white text to… white! Should have chosen black instead 😉

    Should be interesting to know, though, why it is white in the first place in the wordpress includes…

    Hi Alain,

    Well that was silly of me. Another update going out now.

    Yes it it odd behaviour – doesn’t happen in either of my WP installations.

    Thanks for the fix, Mike, this does the trick now.

    I googled around, and there seem to be other people having this same problem, too. Tom Ewer here in your support section mentioned something like this, and many other people with different wordpress versions (even freshly installed vanilla ones without any plugins) have been having this issue.

    Of the top of my head I can’t think of any reason why this text should start out in white, so maybe this is something that should be adressed in core?
