• Hi,

I want to change the position of the time strings.

How can I put it this way…

    user_name | May 31, 2011 – 5:00 am

I also tried adding display: none css rule to not show the time string but it still shows.

Will appreciate if you can tell us how to control time string settings.

    Thanks

    Hi,
the decision to make time in the new line is because of the narrow sidebar chat and the fact that same code displays both in-post and sidebar chat. I’ve made a QC 1.51 version for QC user Mike with behavior you require (haven’t tested much but should work). Also you should look at changelog to see is there anything you will miss out from v1.52 (it is minor changes and Italian translation). I will try to make an option for modifying time display position in the future versions. Here’s the link to the version I was talking about:

Quick Chat 1.51 in-line time version

Hope you find it useful, cheers!

    Thanks..

One thing I notice is when deleting a chat, it refreshes the whole page instead of the chat box only.

Is it really how it is?

    Thanks

Yes, adding more ajax just to delete messages seemed like overhead. This is by design to keep Quick Chat internally simpler so I could complicate it in the future with useful features 😉
