  • Hi – I have the same question. I’m using a child theme based off twenty eleven. Maybe there’s an issue within this theme?

    Ok, updated: I can clear out the grey area by making it not display, but my images now just look misaligned because the space is there although it’s not displayed as gray. I tried inserting this code

    .promo_slider_background_image img {
        margin: 0 auto;
        display: block;
    }

    from another thread, but it didn’t do anything. The site (which is pretty sparse right now, I’m just trying to figure out what’s what and how to make a free theme do what I want it to do) is at http://www.swaffordfineartphotography.com/

    I also want to get rid of the grey background.
    Any suggestions?

    solution:

    create a new transparant png file (2×2 px) and name it slide.png
    upload the file to [/wp-content/plugins/promotion-slider/css/images]

    and you’re done

    🙂

    you need to specify the width of the slide in the short code eg
    [promoslider category=”home” width=”710px”]

    I set my width at 800px and have a larger margin on the right. How can I center the slider. Tried align=”center” but did not work.
    Thanks
