Plugin Problem – How to Get Rid of Apostrophe's Trailing Slash?

  • Hello,

    I’ve posted this question before, but didn’t get any replies. So, I’m trying again…

    We’ve been using the plugin “SEO Smart Links.” Everything works fine — except when it comes to apostrophes within the linked keywords.

    For instance:
    The Kings Speech will be linked to our URL of choice without an issue.
    The King’s Speech will not be linked to anything.

    The problem, we believe, is the trailing slash. The King’s Speech gets “recorded” as “The King\’s Speech.”

    Is there a hack to fix that problem? How can we “strip slashes”??
    If anyone has any idea, please let us know. That’d be much appreciated.

  • No responses, so far…
    but we’ve tried this fix:

    return stripslashes($result);
    instead of
    return $result;

    return stripslashes($text);
    instead of
    return $text;

    Still, no luck. Any ideas????
    That’d be ****much**** appreciated.
