  • You have to look into put.php on line 125 which shows that the skins are coming directly from this page:
    and you’ll see that all the available PUT style skins are included there. Just go to that link and you’ll find a theming option located at the bottom left with more links on tutorials of how to create your own styles. Then you’ll just have to download your created theme and upload to your server where ever and include the link to that file instead of the one mentioned. I think that’s all, I’m still a php noob.
    Whenever you cannot find a css file just scan in the files included with the plugin until you find an external reference to a site.

    First thing you need to do is set your own skin directory, the plugin provides a filter for changing that..

    You also need to add the new skin’s name to the skins array, again a filter is available to do so, here’s an example of using the two filters..

    // Change the PUT skin directory
    add_filter( 'post_ui_tabs_dir', 'put_custom_skin_dir' );
    function put_custom_skin_dir() {
       // This is equal to
       return get_bloginfo( 'wpurl' ). '/yourskins';
    // Update the skins array
    add_filter( 'post_ui_tabs_skins', 'put_custom_skins' );
    // Note: The name refers to the name of the custom skin's folder
    function put_custom_skins() {
       return array( 'myskin', 'myskin2' );

    I havn’t coded for over 8 weeks now, so if there’s any errors with the above code please excuse my being a little rusty..

    Added above code to put,php with URL to my site:

    and does not work, so I tried pointing to specific jquery theme:

    and still does not work.

    What might I be doing wrong.

    Were you able to get this working? I would really appreciate any step by step or tutorials you can offer. The plugin is great, but it needs to be able to be customized easily. Its easy enough to download the roll-your-own jQuery theme, why not just add it as a zip you can upload in the plugin settings?

    When I ran Pingdom on my site to get the ping response,I got a very slow
    over 11.5s response on the following File/Path: Graphite.css! I looked for it in my server using FileZilla and could not find it, or the Skins folder that it contains it!!! How can I fix it please? I’m using Twenty Ten theme if that helps!

    Thank you
