[Plugin: Portfolio Grid] how do i display portfolio items?

I’ve created a page in my menu and given it the slug ‘portfolio’ and i’ve created a portfolio item that has a gallery inserted. when i click on the menu item tho no portfolio items are displayed. help please 🙂
