 * Hellos,
 * I’m trying to translate some custom made strings. I am using the Twentyeleven
   theme.
 * I added `pll_register_string('Shopping cart', $shoppingcart);`
 * to the functions.php. Then I tried to translate the string in the polylang menu.
   But for some reason I found the entry “Shopping cart” but it displayed no string.
   I typed the translations in to the fields and uploaded (the translations didn’t
   seem to have saved). After that I tried to call the string by using
 * `pll__($shoppingcart)` in the header.php but to no avail.
 * What am I doing wrong?
 * Thanks for assistance!

 * Did you initialize your $shoppingcart with some string ?

 * Thanks for your reply.
 * I don’t believe I did. I don’t know PHP very well. How is this accomplished?
