    Hi to all,

I have a problem with second, third etc. pages on search results. If the search results have more than one page paged then returns an error 404 not found.

I don`t know is this kind of theme problem but if I disable the Polylang this issue disappears.

Is there someone with a similar problem?

    tnx

  • I forgot to mention that I use WP-PageNavi plugin for that purpose!

I reproduced the bug ( although I did not test with WP-PageNavi). Hopefully v0.8.6 should correct this.

Just upgrade the plugin on v0.8.6 and now search doesn’t work at all. There is a error page 404 on wp 3.1.4, but on my other site with latest WP (3.3.2) and with the same theme everything is just fine.

Chouby, could you check the problem with this lower version of WP?

As I already said I do not have opportunities to make upgrade for this client!!!

    tnx

    Okay,

I found that the problem originated in the following:

The search results gives this url: http://www.mysite.com/home/?s=search_word&submit=Search&lang=en

But if I change the results URL to: http://www.mysite.com/en/?s=search_word&submit=Search&lang=en

Therefore, “en” instead “home”, then you get correct results with correct pagination.

    So, I found searchform.php and in the form action I replaced “<?php echo trailingslashit( home_url() ); ?>” with this “http://www.mysite.com/<?php echo pll_current_language(); ?>/”

Of course, if I use “<?php bloginfo(‘url’); ?>” instead of manual url then the results returns again error url: “http://www.mysite.com/home/en/?s=search_word&submit=Search&lang=en” – again “home” is a excess.

I hope this problem will be solved with future releases!

I did not find any issue with WP 3.1 but with static front page.

Could you try with the current development version (0.8.6.2) ? It is v0.8.6 + corrections to address this issue (as well as admin bar search which was broken too).

Problem solved with this development version!

    Thank you Chouby
