    podPress does only contain Flash players for audio files. The player you can see after the click on the preview is a browser plugin (e.g. QuickTime) or in cases of OGG Video files in modern Firefox and Opera browsers it is the HTML5 video player of the browser itself.

    I’m planning to extend this HTML5 support to other video file types. But in all these cases the player will be visible only after a click on such preview or a button. The reason is that some of these modern web browsers have an annoying behavior. They would load/buffer all media files which are embedded on the blog page with HTML5 audio or video tags on page load regardless whether the visitor likes to play a file or not. It exists an attribute called preload but those browsers do not respect the setting completely.
