[Resolved] [Plugin: Pinterest "Pin It" Button] Linking To Single Post From Homepage

  • I currently have a series of social links in the post meta section; on the front page of my website, there are 3 posts displayed. Below each post is a section to share that post on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and StumbleUpon. I had manually created a link to use Pinterest grabbing the featured image and URL of the post it was attached to.

So, if you click on “PinIt” in the meta section for post #1 on the homepage, you’d get the Pinterest popup with the image selected from the featured image. When you pin it, the referring URL is of the single post, not the homepage.

With this plugin, I can’t figure out how to get the same functionality for the URL. I love being able to choose thumbs instead of having one selected automatically, but when the button is clicked in the post meta, I’m given the option to choose from EVERY image available on the homepage, not just the images associated with the post I want to share. Additionally, the referring URL is of the homepage, not the single post.

Is there a way to customize this so the meta fields of each post on the homepage are looking for the images and URL ONLY associated with that post?
