I am having terrible problems with my newsletter signups via the competition. A rule of entering my competition is that your are automatically signed up to our email newsletter.
Even though I have this rule (in caps!) on my introduction text, AND on a comp rules page, which is linked from the comp page, customers are reporting my newsletter as spam via mailchimp. A little investigation shows me this is from customers who have entered into my competition.
So is there a way to add a checkbox (required field) to the ‘photo upload’ that simply says ‘I agree to receive email newsletter’? And if they uncheck the box they cannot upload photos?
It would be good to be able to turn this required field on/off via admin as I am sure some people may not require it.
Any advice appreciated before I get banned from sending legit emails to my customers! Or unfortunately it is just to risky to use the comp plug, which would be a real shame.
