Peter's Login Redirect
am I missing something? (2 posts)

    Sorry, but I'm new to WordPress. Am I missing a step? I downloaded and installed the Plugin, went to Settings --> Login/logout redirects, entered a specific Username and the URL that I wanted them to be redirected to on successful login. When I login as that user, I just see the standard "You are now logged in." message from the login page. Is there something I'm missing to make this redirect work?

    Thanks!

    Could be the login module you are using supersedes Peter's code:

    The following worked great for me:

    Modify the below page to suit your needs. There's no php, it's straight HTML, so it should work on any page. replace domain.tld with your own throughout code below. Simply paste completed code where you want it on the page.

    <div id="login">
    <h1><a href="http://wordpress.org/">WordPress</a></h1>

    <form name="loginform" id="loginform" action="http://domain.tld/wp-login.php" method="post">
    <label>Login:<input type="text" name="log" id="log" value="" size="20" tabindex="1" /></label>

    <label>Password: <input type="password" name="pwd" id="pwd" value="" size="20" tabindex="2" /></label>

    <p class="submit">
    <input type="submit" name="submit" id="submit" value="Login »" tabindex="3" />
    <input type="hidden" name="redirect_to" value="wp-admin/" />

    </form>

    <ul>
    <li><a href="http://domain.tld" title="Are you lost?">« Back to blog</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://domain.tld/wp-register.php">Register</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://domain.tld/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword" title="Password Lost and Found">Lost your password?</a></li>
    </ul>
    </div>

    Using an FTP editor I pasted in the above code under wordpress/themes/mytheme/index.php
