trying to get this running under Windows IIS using fast-cgi.
I believe it is causing the process to quit execution.

When I comment out the (line 472) in index.php everything works fine.

//exit;

Is this exit required for any reason?

It is required to use the logs in the admin panel. I am not sure why it is being called though as it should only be called when required.

It’s probably just borked windows.
Playing with options, both:

exit();
and
exit(1);
work for me and don’t crash.

yet
exit;
will crash php-cgi
