[Plugin: Participants Database] Members Search Form ,filter more than one

  • Hi thanks for a great plugin.
I have gone through the support forum and flicked through the instruction and I hope its not a stupid question.
I tried to extend the short code for filtering
    “[pdb_list search=”true” filter=”first_name=zzzz”]”written in support forum to try this shortcode “[pdb_list search=”true” filter=”name=zzzz” filter=”last_name=zzzz” filter=”certificate_number=zzzz” filter=”company_name=zzzz” filter=”licence_number=zzzz”]”
so as to not display any fields on a search page when it first loads.
if possible can someone please help in correcting my shortcode so as it works or even if I can have just 2 search fields and have them not show on the search page load at start.
    Thank you

  • bollgare,

A careful reading of the documentation will give you the answer. You must chain your filter statements like so:

    "[pdb_list search="true" filter="name=zzzz;last_name=zzzz;certificate_number=zzzz;company_name=zzzz;licence_number=zzzz"]

However, you should only need one filter statement to set it up. If you want people to be able to find a record based on a search of more than one field, (or any one of those fields) this won’t work. You’ll have to write a custom search code for that because you can only override one field at a time. Since the other fields in the shortcode are sill looking for a nonexistent record, you’ll still get no results.
