No, but I’ve figure it out, it takes time though you know. Instructions are not so friendly, could be much simplier so that people can easily understand.
Plugin works fine, just instructions needs more easier understanding.

Same problem here. Below shortcode not working:

As I understand the problem is that page “Sitemap” is not removed.
I tested your shortcode and it works good.
IMHO some other plugin could be the reason of the problem.
What plugin is adding this class “kmg-last-child” to the list of pages. Try to disable that plugin and test your shortcode again.
Or try to exclude page by ID like so: [pagelist sort_order="desc" exclude="391"]
