Hi Michael,
The reason this is showing is probably because the folder name of your WPML plugin is incorrect. (I know that this was a thing at 3.1.8.5)
Can you make sure the following folder/file exists? sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.php
Thanks!
Jeroen
Hi Jeroen,
thank you for your reply.
I deleted the whole folder, installed a previous WPML version and updated to the most actual one.
This unfortunately caused then a fatal error with WPML string translation:
Fatal Error: Call to undefined method SitePress::user_lang_by_authcookie() in /data/web/e33670/html/apps/wordpress-23308/wp-content/plugins/wpml-string-translation/inc/functions.php on line 758
I completely deleted this plugin, reinstalled it and thanks to god no more fatal error occurred.
But to be honest: I am a bit uncertain about the stability of WPML now as I had several problems / warning recently…
Will 3.2 be much more stable?
Michael
Hi Michael,
I can’t really answer your question about WPML ‘s stability, I don’t have any affiliation with them so I can’t say anything about their development plans.
A wild guess would be that there might be a file corrupted during upload, and that caused the error…
Did the WPML Widgets disappear after re-installing it?
Cheers,
Jeroen
