[Plugin: page-title] Generate page title from the content of H1

  • Hi

Is there any way of generating the title tag of a page from the content of an H1 tag on my wordpress page? I’ve got some dynamically generated content pulled in via an external XML feed and and at the moment, as the page isn’t physically generated via the wordpress admin system and is just using a template, the page title is just staying the same regardless of the content.

However, I was just wondering whether it would be possible in php to grab the content of an H1 on a page and append it to the page title?

Any tips / advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

    Thanks

  • Is the H1’s content coming from the XML too?

If so you could use a quick regEx on that and echo the value out in the title tags after another wp tag yu have in there

Seems like you want to pull feed content into WP as a post.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/feedwordpress/ used to work for this, though it hasn’t been updated in a year. I’d say look for similar plugins.
