# Plugin Page showing Plugin Code

 * Hello. I hav tried installed a few different plugins and every time that I do
   and then go to the plugin page in the admin section all I can see is the plugin’s
   code. Not the version/title/author/desc etc that I should see.
    I can activate
   them, but then when I do that it just shows the code on the main page of the 
   site. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks, Cj B

    If you have gone somewhere like this: [http://www.scriptygoddess.com/downloads/getContentforShowHide.phps](http://www.scriptygoddess.com/downloads/getContentforShowHide.phps)
   you just need to copy what you see, and save it as a .php file Don’t ‘View Source’
   and copy it, just copy it by rightclicking with your mouse. Save anything like
   that as .php file, suign Notepad, WordPad or BBEdit. Do NOT use m$ Word.

    I had this exact same problem. I managed to work round it (not a 
   fix, just a workround!) by: 1) Make plugins code files writable (chmod 777 in
   mycase) 2) Go to Edit templates 3) load up the plug in file 3) Hit update without
   changing anything. Kinda weird, but it re-wrote it in a format that my server
   seemed happy with. Dunno what server you’re running on, but mine was OS X Server
   with entropy’s last PHP installer for 10.2.x HTH Ben
