Support » Fixing WordPress » Plugin Page not Displaying List of Plugins: Cannot Upgrade

  • I have 2 problems.

First: The page in WordPress Admin that is supposed to display the list of installed Plugins does not display the list anymore (It has the right heading but after that the page is blank). This is after I upgraded to 2.7.1. The plugins that were installed prior to this all still work, the list is just not displaying i cannot activate/ deactivate/ add new plugins, etc.

Second: I upgraded to 2.7.1 because I couldn’t load plugins and automatically install them like I can on other WordPress installations. I tried to upgrade again and no change.

    Any ideas?

  • Try reuploading your wp-admin directory.

Try removing the last plug-in you activated from the wordpress directory. Because you cannot see the installed plugins from the admin panel, you have to do it the old fashioned way – ftp protocol. You can get the free ftp client such as filezilla and use it to assess the wordpress directory. Go to wp-content/plugins and delete the last plugin you activated (delete the active plugin as non-active plugins has noting to do with the disappearance of the plugin page). Before you delete, copy the plugin locally in case you will need to reinstall again later. This will solve the problem. However, you will have to live with less plug in.
