If you disable other plugins and try again, does this resolve the issue? If so, can you narrow it down to a specific plugin so we can investigate further?

If that doesn’t work, have you tried this in a different browser or in incognito / private browsing mode?

Digging into this further, this may be due to another plugin printing out css / javascript on every page load, instead of being restricted to the plugin page only.

I’ve encountered one plugin that does this, and includes an old version of jQuery, and an additional jQuery UI lib, too.

    More information

I’ll be interested to see what you find, if turning off any plugins helps.

Thank you for your quick reply on this issue.

I have deactivated all my plugins but this one. And it still doesn’t work.

Unless an inactive plugin still effect this plugin?

Interesting … thanks for looking at this.

An inactive plugin shouldn’t print out any css / javascripts.

I’d like to look at this in detail with you. If you’re available for an in depth troubleshooting session (perhaps with a test account, or a screen share, or if we can come up with something else creative), please e-mail me at kpayne -at- godaddy.com to set something up.

    Hi kurt,
I have (i think) the same problem.
the p3 page in admin is confused (i can’t even find where to click “start scan”) here you can see a screenshot: http://prntscr.com/54ey3

I’ve tried too to deactivate all plugins, but it remains like that.

I’m using latest WP 3.3.1 in Italian.

Hi master412160, thanks for working with me over e-mail. I think I’ve found the problem. Some plugin names contained an apostrophe which blew up the UI. I’ve got a fix in the development version. Can you test this out?

bluantinoo, can you disable other plugins and try again? Also, if you open firebug or a javascript console, do you see any javascript errors?

bluantinoo, you said you deactivated your plugins, but your screenshot reports “26 active plugins” … can you clarify?

because I’ve taken the screenshot after reactivating the plugins.
anyway here is the screenshot without any plugin (but p3)

    Hi kurt,
    I’ve missed your previous request.

Actually there is an error on firefox error console:

    $(“#p3-navbar”).corner is not a function
    on wp-admin/tools.php?page=p3-profiler.php

Actually on my scripts I use “jQuery” instead of “$” because often I’ve got issues if I use the dollar

Hi bluantinoo, can you e-mail me at kpayne -at- godaddy.com for further troubleshooting?

    Hello Kurt Payne,

I can tell you that your fix worked!

I’ve just emailed you Kurt 🙂

Many thanks to Kurt, problem resolved.
Now P3 works great and I can finally appreciate it: it’s awesome!

    hi Kurt Payne!
p3 the plugin does not work either on my website! 🙁
also my site uses the latest version of wordpress (3.3.1 and Italian) like bluantinoo

    what do i do?

    Plugin Contributor Kurt Payne

The solution for bluantinoo was to remove “Options -Indexes” from wp-content/plugins/p3-profiler/.htaccess

Please make sure you’re using version 1.1.1 of the plugin, too. There was a bug in 1.1.0 that caused the UI to break if you’re using another plugin on your site with an apostrophe in the name.
