 * I’m new to the forums but have had a blog at WP.com for years.
    I went self hosting
   almost one year ago. Just wondering if you can ever overburden a blog with too
   many plugins. It seems there are so many great ones that I can’t seem to stop
   downloading them. Maybe I need a plugin support group? Any thoughts would be
   appreciated.

 * Yes, too many plugins will slow your site down. Many plugins cause loads on the
   server even when they are not activated.
    Loads of discussion about this on blogs
   so it might be worth your time to spend some time with Google 😉

 * Thanks, Elpie.
    Although I thought that might be the answer I wanted to ask anyway.
   Off I go to Google . . . Church
