If your RSS feed is configured to Full (as opposed to Summary) in Settings -> Readings, the feed should include your embedded videos. whether those videos are displayed by default is really down to the individual feed reader and well beyond the control of WordPress.

    Hi Esmi

    thanks for the fast feedback.

I’m checking the feed using both IE9 and Chrome browser and the video does not display.

Looking at what i’m getting back from the chrome feed the iframe is listed but its not displaying the video.

I’m up with xml and rss feed markup but I guess its time to do some research on it.

    thanks

looks like the default coding for oembed in the wordpress delivers the video through an iframe which is not supported by rss.

I guess I’m going to have to write up a plugin to change the iframe to an enclosure tag which allows media in rss.

I don;t want to reinvent the whell so if anyone knows of a plugin that has already done this please let me know otherwise I have a bit of extra work to do over the weekend 🙂
