  • What would be the best approach to create and use a child theme with a parent theme that uses Option Tree? Does Option require the css pages with actual styling to be in their own directory and the use of a “dummy” style.css page at the root? I purchased a premium theme that uses Option Tree and this is the setup it has. the style.css that is at the root directory shows “WP Core Styles.” The Template styles, file.php, are in a directory named css. Is this typical for Option Tree?

I’m not sure I fully understand. Did the theme developer integrate OT directly into the themes root or is it still a stand alone plugin? Regardless the options are saved in the database so your child theme will have access to the same data your parent theme does.

It’s hard to know what the developer did so I need more info to go on.

    Cheers,
    Derek
