 * hi,
 * after having troubles with version 2.x of the openid plugin, i tried 3.0 and
   i got still several issues:
 * (i) i don’t want to act as an openid provider. so, automatically overriding the
   profile’s website will imho result in annoyed users (especially without notification).
   do you think you can implement an option which does not force the users to have
   their openid as profile’s website?
 * (ii) users have to be registered to comment on my blog. – i tried to login a
   few times with my openid (without registration) and i ended up with openid.com,
   openid.com1, … openid.comn as usernames. – do you have any idea how i can fix
   that?
 * (iii) if i try to register together with an openid-account, the particular openid
   is not bound to the account. i get the same behavior as in (ii) if i try to login,
   until i manually add the openid in the newly created account.
 * (iv) unfortunately it seems like your plugin does not want to corporate with
   [sabre](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sabre/) which acts as anti-spam plugin
   on my blog. btw. the tests (i)-(iii) have been made with and without the usage
   of sabre.
 * (v) even if i disable the possibility of openids for comments, the openid stylesheet
   is embedded in the header of every page.
 * maybe you can have a look at these issues. – i would really like to support my
   users and the openid project…
 * cheers,
    berny

 * (i) overriding the profile URL has nothing to do with using the OpenID provider.
   Without that safeguard in place, it would be possible for a user to leave a comment
   that appears to have been left with an OpenID that individual does not actually
   own.
 * (ii) and (iii) are both symptoms of the same problem which you’ve already stated…
   upon registering with an OpenID, it’s not connected to the account. I’ve not
   heard of anyone else having this problem with v3.0.
 * (iv) I’m not familiar with Sabre, but I’ll look into it.
 * (v) you can’t actually disable the possibility of OpenIDs for comments, you can
   just disable the OpenID text from being added to your comment form. I’ll see
   about a little more selective though when adding the OpenID stylesheet.
