Support » Plugin: Online Backup for WordPress » [Plugin: Online Backup for WordPress] Database Operation Failed

  • Hi,

I’ve just installed Online Backup, and get the following error when trying to run a backup

    A database operation failed.
Please try reinstalling the plugin – in most cases this will repair the database.
Please contact support if the issue persists, providing the complete event log for the activity. Error information follows:
    Location: 820:/var/www/vhosts/
Message: WPDB error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1. Last query: DELETE a, e FROM wp_wponlinebackup_activity_log a LEFT JOIN wp_wponlinebackup_event_log e ON (e.activity_id = a.activity_id) WHERE a.start <

    Any ideas anyone?

    Hi Mick,

Please update the plugin to 2.0.2. Just pushed out 5 minutes ago 🙂

When we released 2.0.1 yesterday it fixed many issues for people upgrading from 2.0.0. But we inadvertently broke the plugin for new installations, and it sneaked through testing (I think everyone may have upgraded – we’ll definitely improve the testing if this was the case.)

    Regardless, please accept my apologies!

    Kind Regards,
