Plugin on Dead beat

Read this before you install, Plugin installs but is on dead beat in WordPress. For old users like me, all the links and short Codes linking to google drive are gone to waste, the question is, how do you trust these plugins, when there is a risk in future, to either be abandoned by the developer or a third party like google kicks them out if its eco system.
