Does my link need to be a download type link? for example: ending in .mp3?

I tried using the “share” link inside MediaFire, where the files are stored, but that won’t work with this great plug in. 🙁

Does that mean I have to download the mp3 from storage first… put it somewhere else besides Mediafire…ie like in a downloads folder on the site, and then use THAT direct link?

    Seems like double the work…
    What is best solution?

I thought about setting up amazon storage for this, but it seems it might create the same issue.

I LOVE the player and the ease of it…
I just need some help with the back end audio stuff.

    Thanks!
    Christine

  • Yes you will have to upload it to a hosting service where the URL ends with .mp3 either on your own host or better Amazon S3 etc.

At least that is what I have had to do. So in my posts it’s like this:

    [audio src="http://www.mydomain.com/mysong.mp3" /]

You can also put it in your public folder at Dropbox, but you need to change the link from https to http.

    Thanks! Got it handled…
