You can check just out of curiosity if by replacing this line:

location ~* /wp-content/(?<path>.+)\.(?<ext>jpe?g|png|gif|webp)$ {

back to this:

location ~ /wp-content/(?<path>.+)\.(?<ext>jpe?g|png|gif|webp)$ {

Does that also work?

Also remember to remove this line:

add_header Webp-Test Yes;
