    Greetings,

First of all, many thanks for this plugin.

I’m overhauling a couple of blogs turned online 10 years ago. I want to merge them into a single installation using multisite. The first blog is written in French while the second is in English (both with self-registration of users). Your plugin is really helpfull with a registration page in the appropriate language for each subsite. Since the original sites are using “Plain” permalinks I’d prefer to configure the new sites with same, but the plugin does not work with that setup. The links are there but lead nowhere. Could the plugin be modified or tweaked to work with plain permalinks ? On my current test setup, you can see issue on blogue_twenty_twenty_one. The other 2 subsites are configured with “Day and Name” and “Post Name” permalinks and work perfectly.

    Best regards,

    François

hi @fraroy it looks like its more an issue with your site(s) permalinks rather than the NSUR plugin. I’m assuming you have re-saved the settings for the permalinks to flush them through ?

I’ve swapped the https://justinandco.com/demo2/ site to basic permalinks you can see its working there.

    Justin,

Yes I re-saved the settings for the permalinks, and more than once just to make sure, but the issue is consistent on my subsites. I don’t know how to troubleshoot such an issue. Multisite has other limitations such as emailing messages to end-users from the main site and a set language which can be different than the subsite language. I’m thinking about restarting from scratch with standalone (single-site) installations of wordpress. I have only 2 websites and might add a 3rd for the foreseable future and that’s it. Still exploring options.

yes it sounds to me like your “merge” of separate wp sites into a multi-site is not quite right. there are tools to do that kind of merge available but I don’t have any suggestions. I’ll close this ticket for now hope you get it working multisite can save admin time.
