Plugin not working on latest WP version

    Hi kristtranslate,

    thanks for reaching out.

    I checked the plugin on one of my multisites with WP 5.5.1 installed and found the author box on all blogs in the network. Please check for your own profile under Users > Profile and look for Site specific author information.

    Please see if you just missed them.

    If not, do you have full admin rights in the network? That is not needed, but I want to make sure this is not happening due to custom capabilities.

    Hi Thomas,

    The site specific author information does not get rendered. Instead the ‘default’ biography (under the ‘about user’ section gets rendered instead.

    Funnily, the site specific display name gets rendered, though.

    I do have full admin rights to the network and the plugin is properly installed.

    We’re using the Flatsome theme, in case this might help.

    thanks for your feedback.

    I can still not reproduce it on my own website. The author information is always the one from the individual blog.

    I am wondering if this is related to the theme. Does it happen with another theme?

    I don’t know, this is the only multilanguage site I have and I cannot deploy another theme on it as the site is a production org website…

    Hi kristtranslate,

    I am sorry, but I cannot be available for a call. I developed the IMA plugin as a solution to my own problem and was happy to see that others benefit from it as well. It is currently not possible for me to spend much time in individual support.

    Maybe, someone else who has the same issue and technical knowledge to narrow it down finds this thread and can share some details on how to reproduce it.

    My investigation brings me to conclude that the plugin does NOT work with the Flatsome theme. This is unfortunate because this theme seems quite popular amongst the WP + Woocomerce community.

    However the plugin works after we have disabled Flatsome’s “blog author” blocks in the theme editor, and have decided to use the https://wordpress.org/plugins/molongui-authorship/ to handle the rendering of blog author info (the latter plugin also handles mutli-author and guest author’).

    So this might be a workaround for Flatsome users
