Sorry I am a bit long relying to you – i had a look at the link you posted – which was strange because at first i seem to get redirected to another site – but when i click around it I was redirected back to the floppydisk.pl domain.

Anyway i don’t see lazy load activated on your site so can’t offer any advise. If you like to activate it again and let me know I will see if i can see any reason why its not lazy loading the images on the index page.

Hi! I have the same problem here with my blog index page. On all other pages and posts the plugin works perfectly, but not with the images on the indexpage.

    This is the URL: https://www.excellenceinheaviness.de/

Do you have any idea what is causing the problem? Is it the theme, or is it the plugin?

    Thanks a lot!

Ok thanks for the link – can see the issue – your theme adds images to the home page via a custom function – and a3 lazy Load can’t know what the developers custom function is – so it can’t apply. We have downloaded the theme you are using from the WordPress repo and tested it.

To fix the issue theme theme developer just needs to add a small filter to his function. I have raised a ticket with them about this for you. You can see it here

Please add support for a3 lazy Load for Home Page Custom image function

Please feel free to also your reply to the request.

If the developer will do that and put out a new version – the issue with a3 lazy Load not being applied to the home page will be resolved.

    Regards
    Steve

Have looked at your theme – but without downloading it (it is a Premium theme) – we cannot tell for sure, but am almost certain that the reason a3 Lazy Load is not applied to the sites home page is because the theme developer adds images by a custom function. It is impossible for a3 Lazy Load to know what custom function a developer creates to do that.

a3 Lazy Load has a number of filters that any theme developer can use to add to their custom functions so that a3 lazy load can find them and be applied.

This is the support ticket that I posted for @friendofmisery as his theme is a free one from the WordPress Repo. I would have posted a ticket for you as well on your theme developer – but obviously can’t do that as it is a Premium theme.

If you would like to create a ticket with your theme developer – requesting that they add the filter to their custom function for a3 Lazy Load support you can copy a lot of the ticket that I posted.

    Hi Steve,

thank you so much for putting so much effort in this support request!
I added the theme´s function with your changes to my custom functions.php and it works perfectly.

    Thank you so much!

    Hi Tobi

Thanks for letting me know that and pleased that solved the issue for you. I see you have also added to the ticket with the theme developer – which is also excellent to let them know that its a small tweak that works perfectly.

    Regards
    Steve
