    We have used this plugin for years. Always working, but the latest updates it did not work any more. We don’t have changed something about it. Test email also not send.
    Please can you bring out an update where this will be working again? It looks like now everyone is forced to use the paid version?

    We have checked this issue on our end but couldn’t replicate it. Emails are being sent as expected.

    To debug the issue further, can you let us know what error you are getting while sending the test email?

    Hi,
    Thank you.
    As you may see on https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/email-subscribers/ more people have the same issue. Emails are not sending any more.

    When we click on send test email we only see this for one second: https://prnt.sc/FW6ZTdypZtQB and then nothing happend than? No error message or something.

    Thank you for your response. We have checked the screenshot but it looks like the error isn’t getting shown while sending the test email.

    To debug the issue further, can you please let us know if you are using any SMTP plugin to send the email? If this is the case, then can you please also check if the test email is going from the SMTP plugin’s settings as well?

    Hi, thank you! We don’t have any smtp plugin. We are using the wp mailer solution of the free edition:

    Emails are send from an emailadress @domain2.com which are not the same of domain.com where this installation is. This was for years so and always working but for now not any more?

    — Using a different domain might sometime causes delivery-related issues but since it was working fine before, this shouldn’t be the case here. We need to debug it further to find the issue.

    The plugin keeps a log of email-sending errors. Can you please check the error log for any errors on your site?

    You can find the Email sending log in the wp-content/uploads/ig-logs/ folder. Log files should be named ig_es_email_sending-<date>-<random-hash>.log. Date will be in the format years-months-days.

    To access the files, you can use FTP or any File Manager plugin if you prefer.

    Hi,
    New logs when we click on test ‘send email’ (what we have done today and yesterday) are not registered. We only see this in latest log file of last week:

    Hi,

    Thank you for sharing more information related to the issue.

    The issue seems a bit strange since emails should be logged. We suspect there might be some issue with some other plugin or theme. Performing a conflict test will be helpful in ruling out this possibility.

    Will it be possible for you to perform a conflict test on your site? You may need to temporarily disable all other plugins except the Email Subscribers plugin and switch to a default WordPress theme.

    We recommend doing the troubleshooting using the Health Check plugin which disables all the plugins and switches the current theme to the default theme only for the current logged-in user when troubleshooting mode is enabled. It does not affect other users or site visitors. You can get the Health Check plugin from here. After enabling the troubleshooting mode in Health Check plugin, activate the Email Subscribers plugin, and check if the issue is resolved or not.

    If it is resolved, then you can activate plugins one by one or switch to the current theme and check which is causing the issue.

    If the issue persists with only Email Subscribers active, do let us know if this is the case. We may then need to debug it further.
