Plugin not working anymore in other languages
-
Hello, I’m using WPML to have my website translated to 8 different. Recently, I found out the plugin doesn’t work correctly anymore. It shows an error “There are no payment methods available. Please contact us for help placing your order.” It used to work great but maybe due to an update from Woocommerce it stopped working for all languages. Is this a known issue at the moment? Thanks.

Hi @timmiieehh,
Can you kindly let me know the base language of your site? Also, can you please confirm if the ‘Ask for Quote’ payment method is available in the base language?
We recently introduced the ability to modify the payment gateway name in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments. However, I do not think that should affect the payment gateway availability in any of the languages.
I will try to replicate this issue at my end. In the meantime, can you please let me know if you are using Checkout Blocks or have recently made any changes on the Checkout page?
Thanks,
Pinal
Hello, thanks for the reply. The main language is Dutch. Other languages are English, Danish, Finnish, French, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Swedish.
I see now that the option works on the product page but with the basic ‘add to cart’ button. The translated text from Dutch (Voeg toe aan offerte aanvraag) to English (Add to Quote Request) won’t appear on the button. It says ‘Add to cart’. Also, the button on the checkout form page has the regular text instead of the send quotation text.
I’m using the Avada theme with blocks. Nothing on the website changed, however I believe Woocommerce did make an update. Whenever I use the live builder I can see the English text ‘Add to quotation request’ which is correct. But it’s not on the live product page.
I can send you an url of a product page if you’d like.

Hi @timmiieehh,
Can you please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Quotes and do the below:
- Deselect the ‘Enable Quotes’ checkbox and save the settings.
- Check the front end product page, you will now see the ‘Add to Cart’ button instead of ‘Add to Quote Request’ button for primary and other languages.
- Again go back to the settings page and select ‘Enable Quotes’ checkbox and save the settings.
- Kindly go to the front end product page in the base language as well as the secondary languages and check if you are now seeing the ‘Add to Quote Request’ button in the relevant language.
Based on the issue description it seems like the quotation setting has turned off for the secondary languages.
If the above does not help fix the issue, I request you to kindly send the product page url and other details on support at technovama dot com so I can look into the issue.
Best regards,
Pinal
Hello, thanks for your reply. I did the whole process, step by step but it didn’t work. Whenever I checked ‘enable quotes’ or not, it always shows the ‘add to quote request’ text on the button. And if I save in English or in Dutch it goes to Swedisch after saving which is the last language in the list. The only way to show the ‘add to cart’ text is to disable the Quote Request plugin.
For your information, I work with Avada and I’m using a block editor, however it used to work without any problems. I have it running on two different websites. Same issue.-
